Global GAP

GLOBALGAP (originally EUREPGAP) is a private organization that establishes voluntary standards through which it can certificate agricultural products in all parts around the world. The objective is to establish a single standard of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), applicable to different products and able to cover the totality of agricultural production. For consumers and distributors, the GLOBALGAP certificate is a guarantee that food comply with established standards of quality and safety, and which have been prepared in accordance with sustainability criteria, respecting the health, safety and welfare of workers, the environment, and keeping the respect for animals in mind. GLOBALGAP is a standard at the level of the overexploitation which covers the entire production process of the certified product, from the first moment (as it can be control points for seeds or nursery plants) and all subsequent farming activities until the moment the product is taked of the farm.

HACCP Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point

The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a preventive systematic process to guarantee the food safety in a logically and objectively way. It applies in food industry but also applies to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and in all industries that manufacture materials in contact with food.
